The laser extensometer - type biax-scanner is used for non-contact measurement
of strain or compression of specimen at biaxial load.
Two laser extensometers of the type parallel-scanner
are combined to measure strain in X- and Y-direction. The scanning sequence of
the two systems is synchronised to each other. A single receiver with special
optical components is used for both scanners.
